AICPA John L. Carey Scholarship

The John L. Carey Scholarship provides financial assistance to liberal arts and non-business degree holders who are pursuing both graduate studies in accounting and the CPA licensure. This award is funded by the AICPA Foundation and is intended to encourage students with little or no previous accounting education to consider professional accounting careers.

AICPA Scholarship for Minority Accounting Students

The AICPA Minority Scholarship awards outstanding minority students to encourage their selection of accounting as a major and their ultimate entry into the profession.  Recipients receive individual awards of $5,000 per academic year.  These outstanding students demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, leadership and commitment to pursuing the CPA.

Albert Einstein College of Medicine Summer Undergraduate Research Program

The Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP) offers 50 college students each summer an exceptional opportunity to conduct original research in a laboratory at one of the world’s top-ranking scientific institutions. The program is designed for undergraduates with a strong background in science who are considering a research career. SURP students arrive at Einstein in mid-June and spend nine weeks working in a laboratory. Students are matched to a laboratory in the area of interest they indicate on their application. At the end of the program, students present their research in a poster session.

Alexander von Humboldt Foundation German Chancellor Fellowship

The German Chancellor Fellowship allows recent university graduates to spend one year conducting a project of their design with the host of their choice in Germany. The project can be in any field, but should be research-based and create a positive social impact. Benefits include full financial support, a language course, and a study tour culminating with meeting Chancellor Angela Merkel.  German language proficiency is not required.

Alfred Wallace Awards for Outstanding Field Ecologists

Operation Wallacea is a network of academics from European and North American universities, who design and implement biodiversity and conservation management research programmes. Research is supported by students who join the programme, to strengthen their CV or resume, gain course credit, or collect data for a dissertation or thesis.

Allen Lee Hughes Fellowship and Internship Program

Named for the Tony Award-nominated lighting designer, the Allen Lee Hughes Fellowship & Internship Program offers personalized training opportunities with Arena’s ensemble of resident artists, technicians and administrators.  The goal of the program is to cultivate the next generation of theater professionals by providing the highest standard of training through immersion in the art and business of producing theater. Arena Stage provides in-depth, hands-on experience with seasoned professionals.

Amelia Earhart Fellowship

The Amelia Earhart Fellowship program helps talented women, pursuing advanced studies in the typically male-dominated fields of aerospace-related sciences and engineering, achieve their educational goals. The Fellowship enables these women to invest in state-of-the-art computers to conduct their research, purchase expensive books and resource materials, and participate in specialized studies around the globe.

American Association of University Women (AAUW) Grants

The American Association of University Women (AAUW) has a long and distinguished history of advancing educational and professional opportunities for women in the United States and around the globe.  One of the world’s largest sources of funding for graduate women, AAUW provides funding for more than 245 fellowships and grants to outstanding women and nonprofit organizations.

American Bar Association Legal Opportunity Scholarship Fund

The ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship grants 20 incoming racially and ethnically diverse law students with $15,000 of financial assistance over the course of their three years in law school.  These exceptional recipients have overcome adversity, proven themselves through academic success and public service, and demonstrated the tenacity to excel within the profession. All of the Scholars have committed themselves to public service either prior to, during, or after law school. From volunteering with at-risk youth to participating in their firm’s pro bono projects, these Scholars are serving the needs of those within their community.
