National Sculpture Society Internship
The National Sculpture Society (NSS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the support of realist sculpture through exhibitions, publications, and education. Internships are geared to the interests and skills of the individual and are flexible in terms of hours and responsibilities. Interns receive a salary.
Internships usually focus in one of the following areas, or a combination thereof:
- History of American Sculpture/Archival Restoration: Most time will be spent on the Archival Restoration Project, which is designed to bring NSS archives and membership files up to preservation standards. Other duties include answering inquiries from the public about NSS members and American sculpture and maintenance of membership files.
- Publishing and Publicity: This intern will assist in the research, creation and publication of a bi-monthly news bulletin, and will have the opportunity to develop skills in writing and editing both for the news bulletin and press releases.
- Arts Administration: The arts administration intern will assist in almost every aspect of the Society’s efforts, including exhibitions, fundraising, press, educational programming, and general office support.
