Autry Fellowship

The Autry Fellowship is a competitive fellowship program for talented and ambitious recent college graduates. It provides an opportunity to work for one year as a full-time, paid staff member at MDC (originally known as “Manpower Development Corp.”). The Autry Fellowship supports the mission of MDC–to help organizations and communities in the South close the gaps that separate people from opportunity–by developing a cadre of young leaders who have experience promoting economic development, increasing equity and excellence in education, building inclusive civic cultures, and who are poised and ready to apply their new learning to benefit this region.

Boren Scholarships and Fellowships

Boren Scholarships and Fellowships provide unique funding opportunities for U.S. undergraduate and graduate students to study abroad in world regions critical to U.S. interests, and underrepresented in study abroad, including Africa, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East.  Boren Scholars and Fellows represent a variety of academic backgrounds, but all are interested in studying less commonly taught languages.  In exchange for funding, recipients commit to working in the federal government for a minimum of one year.

Catholic Volunteer Network

Catholic Volunteer Network, established in 1963, is a non-profit membership organization of 215 domestic and international volunteer and lay mission programs.  Catholic Volunteer Network fosters and promotes full-time domestic and international faith-based volunteer service opportunities for people of all ages, backgrounds, and skills. They maintain a searchable database of volunteer opportunities.

College Board’s Scholarship Search

The College Board’s Scholarship Search helps students find scholarships, financial aid, and internships.  To identify funding for study abroad, select “Study Abroad” under eligibility requirements on page 3 of the search criteria.

Diversity Abroad International Scholarship and Fellowship Directory

Diversity Abroad maintains a searchable website of international scholarships and fellowships.  There are additional resources available on the Study Abroad Financial Aid Center.

Erasmus Mundus and Erasmus+

Erasmus Mundus fosters cooperation between higher education institutions and academic staff in Europe and non-EU Countries by offering joint, dual, and multiple degree masters and doctoral programs.  It also offers scholarships/fellowships for non-EU and Eu students/doctoral candidates to follow these Erasmus Mundus Masters Courses and Joint Doctorates.

Knowles Science Teaching Foundation

The Knowles Science Teaching Foundation (KSTF) provides beginning high school science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) teachers with five-year fellowships designed to help them become master teachers and leaders.  Over the course of the Fellowship, new teachers develop into backbone teachers and leaders through annual meetings (three per year), membership in a professional organization, one-on-one work with a KSTF Program Officer, Teacher Development, and participation in an online community.

AmeriCorps Massachusetts Promise Fellows deliver the resources young people need to be successful in life by creating, managing, and leading meaningful out-of-school time programs for youth in grades 6-12. National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship

The National Science Foundation’s Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) helps ensure the vitality of the human resource base of science and engineering in the United States and reinforces its diversity.  The program recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines who are pursuing research-based master’s and doctoral degrees at accredited US institutions.
